2015 Scholarship Breakfast Volunteer Opportunities

Dear School of Social Work Community,

The UW School of Social Work is hosting its 6th Annual Scholarship Breakfast toraise funds for scholarships to support SSW undergraduate and graduate students in need. This year’s event is March 11, 2015 and will feature keynote speaker Tony Mestres, the new president and CEO of the Seattle Foundation.

We are seeking School of Social Work students (from any program), faculty, and staff to volunteer at this year’s event. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive contribution to the School of Social Work.

We have two volunteer opportunities available (you may sign up for more than one):

1. We need volunteers to assist with setup at the Husky Union Building (HUB) North Ballroom on Tuesday, March 10th from 3:00pm to approximately 8:00pm (volunteers can come for any period of time within that time block).  Dinner will be provided.  6-8 volunteers needed

 

2. We need volunteers to assist with registration, greetingguests, set-up and clean-up on Wednesday, March 11th at the HUB.   We need you to arrive at 6:30am and you will be finished no later than 9:30am.  Breakfast will be provided and you will be able to hear Tony’s presentation.  12-14 volunteers needed.
