Free Mindfulness workshops every evening Sunday – Thursday

The University Washington Mindfulness Project (UWMP) is currently a student-run group that is offering free yoga, meditation, and mindfulness classes to UW students. The classes will take place in Mary Gates Hall Room 287 during CLUE hours (Sunday-Thursday 6:30-9:00pm). For a full schedule and more information about this program and to view a live schedule please visit http://uwmindfulnessproject.com/mini-mindfulness-center/general-information/

WHAT IS OFFERED:

– Meditation: Every evening UWMP will offer 1-2 meditation sessions ranging from 10-20 minutes. Each meditation session will be lead by a teacher so it is a great opportunity to even those who are new to meditation. There will be a short discussion after each meditation.

-Yoga: Sunday through Wednesday evening UWMP will offer 1 sixty minute yoga class. There will be both “all levels” and “beginner friendly” classes available. Classes are lead by fantastic certified yoga teachers who have a particular interest in mindfulness and relating it to college students’ lives.

– Mindfulness Seminars: Every Thursday evening at 6:30pm UWMP will host a guest speaker for Mindfulness Seminars. Seminars cover a wide variety of topics from mindfulness and technology to mindfulness of food and eating, creativity, social justice and activism, writing, and much more.

**Students do not need to register for classes, simply show up on time whenever it works with your schedule. There is no cost associated with any of our classes. Please know that space is limited and students will be allowed in to class on a first-come first-serve basis. We will provide meditation cushions as well as yoga mats for students who don’t have their own (also on a first-come first-serve basis).
