Registration Deadline: Thursday, April 30
Parade Event: Sunday, June 28
Thanks to those that have marched in the past representing the University of Washington for the Seattle Pride Parade each June. Unfortunately, there is no one who has registered on behalf of UW march on Sunday, 6/28/2015. UW Medicine will have a contingent, but it’s only for UW Medicine/School of Medicine constituents. If someone outside of UW Medicine is willing to step up and register and act as a key contact leading up to and on the day of the Parade, then UW can continue marching in the parade.
Pam Racansky, who led UW’s parade contingent last year is no longer working for UW, and her position in School of Medicine’s Center for Diversity and Inclusion had been eliminated. While I have been in discussion with key stakeholders for UW Medicine’s Pride contingent, no one has volunteered to be that key contact to represent UW campus wide beyond UW Medicine.

To be the UW key contact would mean:
The deadline to register Thursday, April 30, 2015, but if no one is interested in being the UW Parade Coordinator nor has responded to be by Tuesday, March 31, 2015, then only UW Medicine will be marching in the Parade, not UW campus wide.
If you even are slightly interested, but you think this might be too overwhelming, please contact me, and I can provide some guidance about the process. Unfortunately, I don’t have the capacity to be the key contact anymore.
