Paid Seattle summer policy internship for MSW students – Due June 23rd

I am excited to share news that Councilmember O’Brien is looking for a graduate school intern to join our office. The base requirement is that the intern must be in a graduate program and qualify for work study. The application states that the internship can end in August or September but we are open to something longer if their work study allows it.

For my School of Social Work folks, we do not have capacity to take on a practicum student at this point. But this still remains quite an opportunity to learn and participate in important policy work.

During the internship, we plan to match the intern with a project to provide a real-world opportunity in analyzing and developing public policy. I have been with Councilmember O’Brien for a year and half and want to additionally highlight that our office really leads our policy work with an equity lens and I strongly encourage someone with that framework to apply.

The application deadline is Friday, June 23. Please share far and wide! And let me know if you or an applicant have any questions.
