We are contacting you from Harborview’s Injury Prevention and Research Center in hopes that you might be able to circulate the following opportunity to your students: We have an NIH-funded and paid internship called the INSIGHT Summer Research Program. Our program is comprehensive, and in addition to offering fantastic opportunities for students to work on an independent clinical research project with a school of medicine faculty mentor, we also offer injury related seminars, field trips (King Co Medical Examiner’s office, Airlift NW for example), and social activities for our full cohort of student researchers.
Attached is a one-page flyer with an overview of our program, which is geared towards undergrads entering their junior and senior years, as well as 1st year graduate and medical students, but accepts motivated students of all levels. We also offer a $3,200 stipend to those accepted.
