Community Meeting on the UW Seattle ADA Transition Plan- 04/08 @3:30pm

Almost 2 years ago now the UW began the process of developing a new comprehensive built environment accessibility improvement plan for each campus. The first stage, over 2019 and 2020, was an assessment of the exteriors spaces focused on site arrivals to building entrances. Part of this work included outreach sessions held on each campus as well as online surveys to seek feedback from the community. In late 2020, this assessment was completed and a revised ADA Transition Plan(s) was finalized for Bothell and Seattle; Tacoma’s will be completed this spring.

UW Facilities, in partnership with the Office of the ADA Coordinator, will be holding community meetings for Bothell and Seattle the first week of April to share a summary of the work, outline next steps, and answer questions. We would love for you all to share this information with any groups you are connected to as a Save the Date, before the upcoming announcements in UW Today and UW Insider communications. Feel free to share widely as you wish.

Webinar information is below as well as on the ADA Office site: www.uw.edu/ada/transition-plan. The transition plans and summary of community outreach collected is also available on the ADA website. If you have any questions, please reach out.
