A career fair is a connection opportunity for employers who have open roles and students who are currently in the job search phase. Virtual career fairs are hosted on an online platform; the UW Career & Internship Center uses Handshake, which offers students an opportunity to connect with employers in two ways: 30-minute Group Sessions and 10-minute 1:1 Sessions. Virtual career fairs are a great way for students to meet with representatives of companies that appeal to students’ majors, interests, and goals in a virtual setting, which can be less overwhelming and more efficient than in-person career fairs.

The 2024 Virtual Summer Job & Internship Fair is open to all majors and years of study, including alumni of all three UW campuses. As of June 10 at 8am PT, registration is open to UW Seattle students and alum. Registration will open to UW Bothell and UW Tacoma students and alumni on June 14 at 8am PT.

DATE:

Wednesday, June 26, 2024

LOCATION:

Virtual, via Handshake: https://app.joinhandshake.com/edu/career_fairs/48968

TIME:

11:30am – 2:30pm PT

MORE INFORMATION:

Never attended a virtual career fair before? Learn more about how you can prepare on our website, https://careers.uw.edu/virtual-career-fairs.

Event is hosted by the UW Career and Internship Center.

Remember to join us tomorrow, June 18, from 11:00am-2:00pm in the UW Seattle Husky Union Building for this exciting chance to engage with employers hiring for open roles! This fair is open to all students and all school years (including graduate students and alumni) across all majors. No advance registration is required.

Don’t Forget!

  1. Location: 2nd Floor Ballroom, Husky Union Building, UW Seattle campus
  2. There is no mandatory dress code, but we recommend business casual.
  3. Bring your Husky Card. If you do not have your Husky card, no problem! Just let our staff at the check-in table know.
  4. Update your resume in Handshake. Printed copies are welcome, but not necessary.
  5. Consider leaving your backpack or bags at home. It will be warm and crowded in the ballroom. A supervised ‘drop zone’ will be available, but leaving your backpack there is at your own risk.

Be sure to download The Handshake App! Use the app to view the list of attending employers and see what roles those employers are hiring for. Access the map to navigate employer booths Scan in at each employer booth, which keeps a log of who you visited and shares your resume with the recruiting team
