My name is Kaitlyn and I’m the Mission Engagement Associate with Sound Generations, a comprehensive nonprofit organization that serves older adults, adults with disabilities, and those who care for them throughout King County.
We are currently accepting nominations for our 2025 Inspire Positive Aging Awards (IPAA), and we want to hear from you! When you nominate an older adult for an IPAA, you give them an opportunity to be recognized and celebrated for the work they do within their communities.

For the first time in event history, nominations are open to all adults 60+ years old living in Western Washington (anywhere west of the Cascade Mountains). Nominations are due by March 12th . Each award recipient will receive a $200 Visa gift card, and their nominators will receive a $50 Visa gift card! All nominees will be celebrated at the 20th Annual Inspire Positive Aging Awards luncheon on May 29th and all nominees will be given complimentary entry for themselves and a guest. We’ve also attached a flyer to share with your community, we are excited to connect with you and look forward to receiving your nominations!
