SSW Scholarship Application Now Open!

MSW students that plan to be enrolled in Autumn 2025, consider this departmental scholarship opportunity.

Applications are now being accepted for the School’s departmental scholarships for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year. The application consists of a general scholarship application and five additional prompts for specialized funding opportunities. 

Eligibility:

• In good academic standing at the close of Spring quarter 2025
• Planning to be enrolled in Autumn 2025
• Submission of the FAFSA/WASFA for 2025-2026 (If you are ineligible, i.e. you’re an international student, this requirement is waived.)
• Applicants do not have to be a US Citizen or resident. International and undocumented students are encouraged to apply.
• Students who have multiple quarter assistantships (e.g., GSAs covering tuition with stipend and benefits) or recipients of WDI, WSW, or CWTAP grants for 2025/26 are NOT eligible for additional funding. 

Application Deadline: Sunday, May 4^th by 11:59 pm (PST).

Financial Aid: If you plan to be enrolled during summer quarter, you’re encouraged to complete the application for summer financial aid. Questions about financial aid should be directed to the Office of Student Financial Aid (osfa@uw.edu).

Graduate Funding Information Service: The Graduate Funding Information Service (GFIS) helps UW graduate students find funding for graduate school-related expenses. Students can visit the GFIS blog to find funding and GFIS Guide to learn about campus funding resources, databases, search strategies, and events. You can browse their resources, or make an appointment with an advisor to get individualized support.
