The Prison Within: Viewing and Discussion Opportunities – 04/15 & 04/23

As part of the Health Sciences Social Justice Film Series, we will be exploring issues around equity, belonging and inclusion for people who are currently or formerly incarcerated: https://collaborate.uw.edu/student-portal/common-book/

We are excited to center our discussions on these topics around the documentary, The Prison Within: https://theprisonwithin.org

Granting viewers access to the interior lives of prisoners and survivors of violent crime, *The Prison Within *is a moving and inspiring exploration of the healing and transformation possible when people are accountable, forgiven, and empowered to give to society with dignity and compassion.

We encourage you to rent/purchase the film on your preferred platform and view on your own time prior to the events described below. The film can be rented on YouTube, Google Play Movies & TV, Vudu or Apple TV.

We’ve created two opportunities for you to engage with the content brought up in the film!
