Scooter’s Place is looking for volunteers!
This is a great hands on opportunity for anyone looking to go into medicine, veterinary, education, psychology, physical therapy, social work, and more!
Scooter’s Place is a non-profit organization that provides adaptive horse back riding lessons to those with special needs. We specialize in children with autism, but also work with a very broad range of ages and needs! Adaptive riding works with each students needs individually. We recognize that linear improvement is not a realistic expectation for the majority of our students. Each lessons is tailored to their needs in that specific hour, day, and week.
Scooter’s needs volunteers to help with pre and post lesson horse preparation; side walking and horse leading; as well as other activities.
