Service Learning Opportunities with Underrepresented Middle and High School Students (Dec-May)

MSW students, the UW Service Learning & Outreach Engagement team are looking for students who are interested in volunteering hands-on activities to middle and high school students interested in health profession careers. Bring a friend or two to a volunteering event!

Below are dates, times, and locations for your consideration.

• December 5^th Mt Rainier HS  between 11:30-1:15pm (1 hour time)
• December 10^th and 11^th  (6 total sessions over 2 days). We have a faculty member who is participating on December 10^th.  There are 30-40 8^th graders per group. Do not have to participate in all 6 sessions.
• December 10 Federal Way HS:  (11:30am-12:30 or 12-1:00 pm)
• December 13 Raisbeck another program at 10:30-11:30 am
• February 27 Evergreen HS between 11:30 am-1:15 pm (1 hour time)
• March 4^th Sound Careers in Healthcare (DFAD working with Washington Alliance for Better Schools and HILT). Need as many programs as possible as will be at Seattle Center hands-on activities for underserved High Schools in area
• May TBD Wenatchee HS would like to bring in 200 students
