We are excited to present FOUR NEW Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) sections
for our women students, faculty and staff. This system of physical defense is a
program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women, taught by
certified RAD instructors. Each section must total 12 hours of RAD instruction
for certification.
SECTION A Thursdays, OCTOBER 4, 11, 18 8:00AM-NOON
SECTION B Thursdays, OCTOBER 4, 11, 18 1:30PM-5:30PM
SECTION C Thursdays, NOVEMBER 1, 8, 15 8:00AM-NOON
SECTION D Thursdays, NOVEMBER 1, 8, 15 1:30PM-5:30PM
All sections are held at the UWPD in Room 111 of the Bryants Building, which
is located at 1117 NE Boat Street on the water side – in the middle of the block,
just opposite the Fishery Sciences Building. (Agua Verde Restaurant and
Recycled Cycles are at each end of Boat Street.)
To register, please email peasel@uw.edu and give your name and a phone
number plus the section you want to reserve. Class size is limited to 20 women in
each section.
This training is easy but intense. We ask that you only register for a section if you
can commit to attending all 12 hours.
There is no cost for this training. Bring or wear clothes in which you can freely
move and drinking water.
