CSWE Minority Fellowship Program for advanced MSW students – 12/5 deadline

The Council on Social Work Education’s (CSWE’s) Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) MFP-Youth Master’s Student Fellowship application cycle is now open. The fellowship, funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), offers financial and other supports to direct practice focused (clinically focused) minority master’s students who are committed to providing mental health services to children and youths (adolescents and young adults aged 16–25) in underserved minority communities.

Here’s their website:

The deadline for application submission is 11:59 pm EST, Friday, December 5, 2014.

A couple of notes:

  • Students may not receive funding through this program if they are also receiving the new SSW/MSW HRSA fellowship in Behavioral Health (applications currently being processed) or through other federal programs.
  • All applicants need to be enrolled full-time, so a few EDP students may qualify, but most will not.
