Laney is a second-year Master of Social Work student with a passion for supporting children and youth. She hopes to pursue a career as a school social worker and counselor in the public education system. Alongside her role as a writing tutor, Laney works as a policy researcher with the environmental justice nonprofit 350 Seattle. Outside of school and work, she enjoys reading, discovering new coffee shops, hiking, and crocheting — always with a playlist to match the mood.
