Running strong since 2019...

Upon the invitation from Kenyan colleagues, the University of Nairobi, Kenyatta National Hospital, and AIC Kijabe Hospital in Kenya and the University of Washington/Seattle Children’s in Seattle, U.S.A. have implemented the first fellowship program in Pediatric Emergency and Critical Care (PECC) for limited-resource settings in 2019. The program provides pediatricians from sub-Saharan Africa with advanced clinical skills and knowledge in pediatric emergency and critical care, in addition to implementation science and leadership strategies to improve care of critically ill and injured children in their region.
