The Program in Engineering and Manufacturing Management (PEMM) is an interdisciplinary program which addresses the challenges faced by manufacturing firms across the globe in an increasingly complex global marketplace. PEMM attempts to bridge the barriers that exist among managers and engineers in manufacturing organizations.

The program vision holds that an effective manufacturing manager requires both a strategic business perspective and a deep appreciation of the technical fundamentals of engineering and manufacturing. This vision is realized through a program of study which integrates a business curriculum with a set of manufacturing oriented topics. The program emphasizes the integration of a firm's engineering, manufacturing and business functions and considers a product's total life cycle--from initial design to delivery of the product and effective marketing strategy.
