Abstract: The project investigates mercury (Hg) dynamics in three streams in Glacier Bay Nationa Park and Preserve (GLBA) draining contrasting landscapes. The goal is to examine the timing and magnitude of mercury flux through the watershed in order to gain a broader understanding of the fate of deposited mercury in southeast Alaska, where little is known about the cycling of mercury through freshwater systems and its transport into the marine zone.
