Abstract: The purpose of this project is to engage the University of Washington Climate Impacts Group and the North Coast & Cascades Network (NCCN) parks in a series of public events where university researchers will interact one-on-one with National Park Service managers and the general public to discuss the latest findings and implications in climate change impacts. There are four stages to the project: 1) developing a strategy for a series of talks, lectures, field trips, and other activities; 2) researching the audience and appropriate content of each presentation; 3) presenting or conducting workshops, field trips, or speaking engagements that address the latest research findings and their implications to resources within NCCN parks; and 4) evaluation of the performances and producing recommendations for future activities. This project has important public benefits by producing a series of public educational workshops, field trips, or speaking engagements that address the growing topic of climate change impacts to resources within National Parks in the Pacific Northwest.
