Abstract: Objective(s): Fungal diversity contributes in many ways to supporting working landscapes from recycling nutrients to providing food for many animal species, yet much remains unknown regarding what fungi are providing what services. The Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument (CSNM) is an ideal location to begin the process of properly documenting this poorly understood diversity. There could be multiple benefits to the public as well as to forest managers in supporting multiple uses on public lands, including recreation and education, as well as important long term understanding of restoration and conservation dynamics.
