Abstract: The Copper Basin Community Harvest Assessment, Phase II, will provide up-to-date information on subsistence resource use by residents of Copper Basin communities by conducting a comprehensive subsistence survey, analyzing the resulting data, and preparing a report. The specific objective of this project is to conduct harvest assessments of Kenny Lake and Gakona communities. The project will be conducted by specialists from Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Subsistence, in collaboration with National Park Service staff. The collected information will help to inform Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve, State of Alaska, and Federal Subsistence Board decisions regarding resource management.
