Abstract: University and its history department with material support and opportunities for studentĀ historians and recent graduates.
The objectives are to develop a replicable, academically-focused and NPS-engaged history program that includes strong educational content aligned with NPS historical themes, immersive research experiences, and hands-on work with scholars and NPS professionals to foster interest in jobs with the NPS and in the field of history and cultural resource conservation. An additional objective is to foster partnerships between the NPS, Central Washington University, Alaska Native organizations, local schools, and other community organizations, to build capacity to provide historical information to National Park visitors and the public at large.
