Abstract: Because of water quality changes in Dexter Reservoir Oregon (see Figure 1), the Corps of Engineers is seeking a study of this reservoir in order to explore opportunities for water quality improvement. This study consists of the following objectives:

  • A review of the literature and historical field data
  • A limnological study of the reservoir
  • Development of a water quality model of the system to evaluate existing water quality: dissolved
    oxygen temperature and algae production
  • Use of this model to explore management alternatives to improve water quality
  • Dissemination of study results to public and technical groups
