About the position
The U.S. Forest Service’s Pacific Northwest Research Station is seeking to hire a Research Economist with a duty station in Portland Oregon in the near future. The entry level of this Research Economist is GS-110-12. A Ph.D. in Environmental Economics, Natural Resource Economics, Forestry Economics, or Ecological Economics is required. A proven interest and track record in conducting applied economics research of relevance to public lands management is highly desirable.
The Incumbent will reside in the Station’s Goods, Services and Values Program (PNW 2665). The mission of the Program is to conduct and communicate research to advance understanding of relationships among people and forest and rangeland ecosystems.
