Abstract: Project enhances soil survey methods by developing a program for (1) mining existing geospatial databases, (2) deriving new information and spatial data sets relevant to mapping soils, (3) predicting the areal extent of known and potential new soil map units, (4) assessing accuracy of soil survey spacial data, and (5) managing soil survey teams. Project addresses one of the largest unmapped areas in the US–Malheur county in southeaster Oregon.
