Abstract: Support annual 4-H summer camps in order to enhance youth and young adult awareness and appreciation of forest and aquatic ecosystems in the Pacific Northwest while increasing the number of under-represented racial/ethnic minority youth and young adults who seek academic and professional careers in science and natural resources. The program will provide academic, experiential, and environmental education opportunities for youth, and will focus on youth leadership, college and workforce preparation, and outreach to underserved audiences.
