Abstract: Funds under this award are to be used to evaluate the effects of altered thermal profiles on the embryo and early life stage of Burbot in the context of current and historical Kootenai River flow regimes.
The Service Will:
• Assist with all egg collection and transport.
• Be directly involved with data collection for modeling of historic in-river temperature profiling.
• Review and provide editorial comments to reports and publications
The Recipient Will:
• Direct, supervise, and provide oversight for the study as the primary investigator.
• Provide the aquaculture facility and acquire all materials needed to conduct the research.
• Recruit and hire a graduate research assistant to conduct laboratory temp trials, and ensure reports and publications are completed in a timely manner.
