Abstract: The purpose of this agreement is to document the cooperation between the parties to
support the ACRC’s directorship. ACRC enhances research collaborations among
universities, government agencies, nongovernmental organizations, tribes, resource dependent communities, industry, and other private and public entities sharing its goals.
ACRC’s director serves as the primary point of contact and liaison between PNWRS, UAS,
and external partners including: tribal governments, non-governmental organizations, the
University of Alaska, and other state and federal agencies. The director is responsible for
all aspects of ACRC’s direction including: 1) developing programs and initiatives that
promote and support ACRC’s mission; 2) developing strategic collaborations with public
and private partners including university partners, non-governmental organizations,
industry, foundations, tribal governments, and communities in support of the ACRC
mission; 3) secures grants, contracts, and agreements; 4) implements activities in support of
ACRC’s research, education and outreach mandates; and 5) provides written and oral
reports on ACRC activities and accomplishments to PNWRS, UAS, and additional
partners
