Abstract: The goal of this research is to significantly improve the estimates of freshwater runoff into the Gulf of Alaska. Specifically, to:
1. Improve the spatial resolution of the estimates (1 km scale)
2. Improve the daily resolution of the estimates (daily)
3. Improve the physical process modeling (incorporate snowmelt, evapotranspiration, and other processes)
4. Partition the runoff both in terms of source (snowmelt vs. rain vs. ice melt) and sink (runoff to coast, evapotranspiration, etc.)
