Abstract: To observe temperature fluctations over a longitudinal profile of Big Boulder Creek using DTS fiber-optic cable. Project is to fill the gaps in understanding stream thermal restoration to estimate changes in hypocheic exchange associated with fluvial morphologic and planform modification. Stream temperature is one of the key determinants of habitat for salmonids, trout and other aquatic species throughout the west and the results of this study can help designers improve upon that habitat.
