Abstract:

Statistical analyses and models from long-term data will improve our understanding of how landscapes respond to fires, flooding, and other natural disturbance will assist park managers in designing safety plans for emergency response. Development of reports and associated web content will be provided to park managers and land managers in areas contiguous to parks. Information gained from the project will be incorporated into educational products for the local public and park visitors, promoting greater public awareness and appreciation of National Parks.
