Evaluating Water Management Responses to Global Climate Change Using Coupled Hydrologic and Economic Models

Project ID: 09FC101428

Federal Agency: U.S. Bureau of Reclamation

Partner Institution: University of Idaho

Fiscal Year: 2009

Initial Funding: $37,000

Total Funding: $248,319

Project Type: Research

Project Disciplines: Physical

Principal Investigator: Johnson, Jennifer

Agreement Technical Representative: Tracy, John C

Abstract: The agreement enables water management agencies, as well as local water users, to combine insights gained from hydrologic modeling with those gained from modeling the economics of water supply and demand. It will allow them to evaluate both the hydrologic and the economic outcomes of various strategies for meeting changing conditions of supply and demand, including those associated with global climate change.
