Abstract: The goal of the proposed research is to “integrate, store, and serve new technologically advanced tools to assess the vulnerability of species at risk to climate changeā. The specific tool is the Coastal Biogeographic Risk Analysis Tool (CBRAT). CBRAT is a “rulebased approach” for predicting near-coastal species vulnerability to climate change drivers (e.g., ocean temperature increase, ocean acidification, and sea level rise) in the Pacific Ocean. The overarching objective is the integration of multiple sources of information to better inform resource managers and to provide web hosting for database driven web tools that use trait-based biological information and species abundance distributions to assess the vulnerability of marine and estuarine species at risk to climate change stressors.
