Identify the Integrated Response of the Surface and Ground Water Hydrologic Systems to Climate Change
Project ID: 09FC101416
Federal Agency: U.S. Bureau of Reclamation
Partner Institution: Portland State University
Fiscal Year: 2009
Initial Funding: $15,000
Total Funding: $15,000
Project Type: Research
Project Disciplines: Biological
Principal Investigator: Hulbe, Christina
Agreement Technical Representative: Taylor, James
Abstract: This project will provide a basis for understanding probable consequences to water supply and flood risk as well as the probable effects to ecosystems. Simulated response, in the form of changes in ground-water recharge, baseflow and total river discharge, can then be applied in subsequent studies to evaluate the reliability of water supply, potential flood risk, and the effects of climate change on ecosystems and protected and endangered species.
