Abstract: This financial assistance agreement is made and entered into by the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management, Oregon-Washington State Office (BLM), and Oregon State University (OSU), the recipient, for the purpose of transferring a thing
of value to the recipient to carry out a public purpose of support or stimulation authorized by a law of the United States.
B. Objective. Inner City Youth Institute (IYCI) is a long-term, positive youth program aimed at underrepresented and underserved teens and their younger peers. This program emphasizes natural resources management, conservation, and protection in order to instill an appreciation of our public lands and to create the next generation of public land stewards. Using natural and cultural resources youth develop skills in science, technology, engineering, and math in order to improve academic progress in school and to increase participation in science and natural resource learning, entry into related colleges programs and potential careers in natural
resources management.
