Abstract: Preparing and responding to climate change and variability is a top issue of the federal government. To better integrate, organize, and focus the federal community’s effort in addressing climate change in the Pacific Northwest, the Climate Change Collaboration (C3) was launched in 2008. C3 is a regional forum of twelve federal agencies across three states (Washington, Oregon, and Idaho) that focuses on coordinating efforts; exchanging regional tools, data and information, best practices, and scientific knowledge with respect to climate change; and encouraging federal coordination and improved customer service with tribal, state, and local governments, NGOs, and private partners. This project is a collaborative effort among Portland State University, National Park Service, and the other federal agency members of C3 to populate a database of recent climate change research projects. This database will serve as an important resource for both public and private agencies in their development of management strategies that respond and adapt to climate change.
