Abstract: The ultimate objective of this study is provision of long-term demonstrations and published data bases for evaluating the array of consequences (positive and negative) of manipulating overstory, understory and reforestation toward development of late-successional habitat and forest conditions. The proposal has the limited objective of maintaining the continuity of the data gathering and publishing enterprise.
