Abstract: The Klamath Network comprises six National Park Service units in Southern Oregon and Northern California, including Crater Lake National Park, Lava Beds National Monument, Lassen Volcanic National Park, Oregon Caves National Monument, Redwood National and State Parks, and Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. The Klamath Network Inventory and Monitoring Program is in the second year of its Vital Signs Monitoring Program. During this period, the parks will require extensive research summarizing existing data and documentation of information needs about the physical, biological, and human factors governing park biodiversity to develop Phase I and Phase II of their Vital Signs Monitoring Program. In addition, the network will develop a report to finalize its five-year inventory program that ends in FY 2004.

This task agreement will support data acquisition and summary, conceptual model and database development, and preparation of three major scientific reports in support of the Klamath Network Inventory and Monitoring Program.
