Abstract: The National Park Service (NPS) Visitor Service Project (VSP), part of the University of Idaho Park Studies Unit (PSU) will develop and implement the Visitor Survey Card-Concessions Project (VSC-C) for the NPS to survey selected parks with concession operations through this task agreement. Currently the PSU conducts the Visitor Survey Card (VSC) project annually at all the units of the National Park System to measure peformance related goals for the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) of 1993. The standardized survey card, which started in 1998, is used at all parks that receive enough visitation to obatin valid results. The VSC-C will be used to establish a benchmark survey for visitor satisfaction with commercial services in the specified concession parls who actually purchase concession services during their park visit. The VSC-C will be a standalone multi-year, longitudinal benchmark survey that will amplifly the data required for GPRA Goal IIa1b visitor satisfaction with commercial services obtained from the current NPS VSC.
