Today: Institute for Applied Ecology – Tom Kaye Earth Day Walk

Join Tom Kaye live in the field!

Join IAE’s Tom Kaye for a virtual botany walk!

For people that love restoring ecosystems, it has been a challenging year so far. Volunteer events have been canceled or postponed due to COVID-19. Our staff has been mostly working from home mostly, and practicing social distancing. Many program activities have been canceled or postponed.

But there are silver linings here. You can learn about what lives there as part of our Willamette Valley ecosystem. We’ve compiled many activities for taking part in citizen science or engaging children in nature. And your backyard habitat helps – pollinators often visit native plant gardens in urban and suburban environments, which helps them and us.

This year, in celebration of Earth Day – take a walk with Tom Kaye and “see” through his eyes! Tom will visit a thriving, diverse prairie, and take you along, live from IAE’s Facebook page!

Join us this 50th anniversary of Earth Day and ‘see’ a thriving native ecosystem. Happy Earth Day – make it personal this year!

Wednesday, April 22, at 3 pm LIVE on Facebook!

Visit our calendar, and ‘see’ you out there!
