MEDLIFE Spring Break Volunteer Opportunity

This Spring Break, the MEDLIFE Chapter at UW is offering an opportunity for students to volunteer in mobile clinics in impoverished areas throughout Lima, Peru.

In the clinics, students will be able to shadow medical professionals (including doctors, a pharmacist, dentist, and an OB/GYN), as well as run educational programs and work with local community members in a development project. The cost of the program is $679, which includes virtually all meals, safe, in-country transportation (including airport pick-up and drop-off), and lodging (8 nights) during the Mobile Clinic. Airfare is not included in the program fee.

In order to avoid overloading this email with more details, please check out the attached FAQ document, which should contain answers to most of your questions. You can also visit the MEDLIFE website at www.medlifeweb.org for more info, or contact Sarah Reed, the UW MEDLIFE Mobile Clinic Director atsmreed@uw.edu for questions.

We will also be holding an info session regarding the clinic on Wednesday, January 18th in Smith 115 at 5pm. Students interested in joining the MEDLIFE Chapter at UW are also welcome to attend. Membership and Mobile Clinics are open to all students!

Hope to see you there,

MEDLIFE, UW Chapter
