As I mentioned during our presentation, The Hope Heart Institute hosts Family Health Nights at local elementary schools to promote heart-healthy family interaction. Family Health Nights are fun nights filled with nutrition and activity stations that are age-appropriate for elementary kids to learn about healthy eating and active living. These nights provide a general understanding to families about the importance of leading heart-healthy lifestyles with positive social interaction.
Our Family Health Night is scheduled on Thursday, March 8 from 5:30-8PM at White Center Heights Elementary School. This is a very diverse area in Seattle where we can have a big impact! Would members be interested in volunteering at this event? If they are, I need names, cell phone numbers and email addresses by Tuesday, March 6.
Thanks so much and I will keep you in the loop with future opportunities,
Joie
