Interdisciplinary Team Evaluation

The Bernier Lab’s Dr. Jen Gerdts, lead author of ‘Interdisciplinary Team Evaluation: An Effective Method for the Diagnostic Assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder,’ discusses the paper and the Team Evaluation in a video abstract on the Journal of Developmental and behavioral Pediatrics.  Follow the link below to watch her interview!

“Lead author, Jennifer Gerdts, PhD, discusses the rationale for developing a streamlined and efficient interdisciplinary diagnostic evaluation for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) at Seattle Children’s Autism Center (SCAC). Dr. Gerdts compares diagnostic outcomes, follow-up care rates, provider satisfaction, billed time, and reimbursement amounts in interdisciplinary teams to those of more traditional psychology-led and physician-led models. She also suggests benefits of this diagnostic approach for families of children with ASD.”
