Jaclynn Sagers

Community Prevention Strategist

I am a Senior Community Prevention Strategist, CTC Coach, and CTC Coach Manager for the Center for Communities That Care.

I have a background in agriculture business and marketing and have been certified as a Prevention Specialist, CTC Coach, and Trainer of Trainers for various tested and effective prevention programs. I started my work in the field of prevention as part of the local Communities That Care effort in my community. I worked my way into the position of Director of CTC, working directly for a municipal government. I then went on to become a national trainer, supporting other communities in their prevention efforts and launching their own local CTC systems. After more than 17 years of doing this work, I am happy to support multiple states in building their prevention infrastructure, focusing on systems change and aligning resources and efforts to efficiently and meaningfully support and propel community-level change for youth and families. I am pleased to lead the support of Native American and Indigenous populations in their installation of the CTC framework on reservations and in tribal villages.

I currently live in the rural countryside, outside of the small town of Rush Valley, in northwestern Utah.

I do this work because I believe strongly in a community’s ability to make the changes needed to best support the health of their residents, from cradle to grave. I am proud to be a part of the CTC family, bringing tools and resources to empower everyday folks to make data-driven, community owned and operated decisions that result in long-lasting and sustainable change for the better.

I am a national trainer for the CTC system and have the privilege of working with our international partners as well. I am a skilled presenter and communicator and have the ability to build strong relationship. I find success in translating techniques and approaches to prevention work, in a straightforward and empowering way, laying the groundwork for changes in skills, education, attitudes and behaviors.

I am grateful to live a lifestyle filled with outdoor activities that include cattle and quarter horse ranching, camping, cooking, and time with family, friends, and animals.
