Meghann Wolvert

Community Prevention Strategist

Meghann Wolvert is a certified Prevention Specialist with a Master’s degree in Environmental Education and over 10 years of experience in community-based prevention work. She is deeply committed to fostering health, resilience, and well-being among youth, families, and communities. Ms. Wolvert previously served as the Mackinac County Communities That Care (CTC) Coordinator and is a certified Guiding Good Choices (GGC) trainer, supporting families in building strong protective factors and effective prevention strategies. Her path into prevention began with AmeriCorps, where she tutored and mentored youth, participated in local prevention coalitions, and later coordinated AmeriCorps programs. In these roles, she focused on creating meaningful opportunities, skill-building, and recognition for young adults and youth.

Inspired by the Social Development Model and its ability to strengthen both communities and families, Ms. Wolvert has dedicated her career to supporting others in implementing this framework to promote long-term positive outcomes for youth. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, she now resides in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula with her family, where she continues to support Communities That Care efforts and advance positive youth development across the region.
