Press Release: The State of Healthy Parenting in Primary Care Interventions in Advancing Health Equity

SDRG Director, Dr. Margaret Kuklinski, recently lent her expertise in the prevention field to serve as co-author on a perspectives paper, The State of Healthy Parenting in Primary Care Interventions in Advancing Health Equity. The paper was released by the Collaborative on Healthy Parenting in Primary Care (HPPC), a research group affiliated with the Forum for Children’s Well-Being within the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. The paper takes a critical look at existing efforts to advance HPPC and suggests next steps to move the field toward additional innovation, diffusion, scaling, adaptation, and funding of effective parenting interventions in primary care.
The paper, published in the National Academy of Medicine Perspectives, is available for free to the public and can be accessed here.
