Survey Research Division to Collect Best Starts for Kids Data

December 19, 2022

SDRG’s Survey Research Division was recently selected to conduct data collection using the Best Starts for Kids Health Survey in King County, Washington. The survey is part of the Best Starts for Kids Initiative, intended to put every child and youth in the county on a path towards lifelong success. Originally approved by voters in 2015 and backed by scientific and research findings on human development, the initiative builds on the knowledge, connections, and skills within local communities and has already served more than a half million children, youth, young adults, and families in partnership with more than five hundred community-based organizations.

In August 2021, King County voters renewed the levy for an additional six years. The Survey Research Division, which has a 25-year track record of providing high-quality survey research services, will conduct the Best Starts for Kids Health Survey as part of the evaluation of the initiative in 2023, with possible contract extensions in 2025 and 2027. We are proud to participate in this important work in our home county.
