Jo Louie

Information Systems Architect

Jo brings nearly twenty years of experience designing information systems at the intersection of technology, research infrastructure, and human safety. At the University of Washington’s Social Development Research Group, Jo has supported the technical architecture of NIH-funded longitudinal prevention science studies, contributing to research infrastructure that advances understanding of behavioral health outcomes. Prior to joining UW, Jo spent over ten years at Microsoft/Xbox in trust and safety engineering and fraud detection, including patented work in predatory behavior detection systems. Jo’s technical expertise spans database architecture, data pipeline design, and systems integration, with a strong commitment to applying rigorous information systems practices in service of community health and safety.
