A 64 year old with progressive L leg pain

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
8.) If he does not improve and symptoms worsen, what intervention will you undertake?

Further intervention is indicated if he does not improve and he is intolerant of symptoms or symptoms progress to critical ischemia (rest pain).



Possible interventions:

  • Arteriogram, iliac balloon angioplasty, and possible stent

  • Aortofemoral bypass or crossover femoral bypass
