Brian Rodrigues

Brian is a U.S. Navy veteran who served from 1989–1993 as an Electrician’s Mate. Following his military service, he worked for nearly two decades as a union electrician, including time as a licensed master electrician, before transitioning into higher education. He is currently a full-time student at the University of Washington pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare, with plans to continue on to earn his MSW.

Brian serves as a Veteran Peer Mentor with UW Student Veteran Life, where he supports student veterans through outreach, peer connection, and resource navigation. His interests center on veteran reintegration, student engagement, and building meaningful community within higher education.

In his free time, Brian enjoys journaling, long walks, strength training, thrifting, and thoughtful conversations. He values service, reflection, and staying connected to the veteran community.
